Chorus: Chorus is open to all interested 3rd - 6th grade students. The Chorus practices during the morning recess/snack time once per week. There are two rehearsals for students to "check it out" and see if they want to join chorus. The chorus members will be part of a lively and energetic atmosphere that will focus on proper singing technique and fun music making. Because of the number of children and the limited rehearsal time, good behavior is a must in order to maintain a successful choral program. Students will be asked to leave chorus if bad behavior is an issue. Participating students join for one full term at a time (Sept - Dec and Jan-April). A student is only excused from rehearsal or a concert if they are absent from school, or a note has been sent. All students in chorus are expected to participate fully in any aspect of a choral production. Those students who chose not to join chorus will not be in a winter/holiday concert. The Chorus holds a Christmas concert in December and a Spring concert. Third & Fourth Grades: Wednesdays 10:10 - 10:45 Fifth & Sixth Grades: Thursdays 10:35 - 11:10 |

| Fifth & Sixth Grades: CSDA will be offering Instrumental Music to interested 5th and 6th grade students. Lessons will be given BEFORE SCHOOL for first year Band students and BEFORE and AFTER SCHOOL for second year Band students. Lessons begin in mid September. | The Brookline Schools sponsor a Piano Recital in March for all Brookline Schools students who are currently enrolled in private piano instruction. |
